The Magic Shop - Chapter XV

Chapter XV - At the Mall, Part 2

Note: This is the last chapter I have completed, for now. Chapter 16 should be done pretty soon, but after that, Magic Shop posts will slow down for a bit. From here on out, the caption schedule is going to change to Mon/Wed/Fri at 12PM Pacific Time. Hope ya'll have enjoyed the series so far!

"Would you mind getting the food? My plan for Jake wearing the bracelet kind of needs him to not see me until just before for it to work," Brooke says.

"What exactly is your plan?" You ask curiously.

"My name is Brandon Greco," she says in a very professional and authoritative voice. "My mother, Suzanne, is the CEO of Subway, and she's sent me on a little tour to check on all the stores in this region since sales are looking a little low."

"And you know a lot about Subway's operations, do you?" You ask with a raised eyebrow.

"I was an assistant manager for 3 years babe, I know more than you'd think," Brooke says.

"Really? I never knew that. I mean I knew you worked there but not that you managed for so long," you say surprised. "Either you never told me or that's another reality difference."

"Well, as far as this reality goes, I pretty much got Jake the job. Anyway, you'll have to get the blue one on Payton first. Then when Jake goes to shake my hand, the bracelet 'accidentally' slips onto his wrist - it's big enough that it should slip right over his hand like it did with yours. Then I just keep shaking his hand until that light goes away."

"Hmm..." You say, thinking hard. "It's probably not the best plan ever, but it's better than anything I've got. Just be careful though. If it slips back on to your wrist before you're done, you're going to stick my body with Payton's vagina."

"Don't worry babe, I got this," she says confidently.

"Alright," you say, still not completely sure. "What do you want to eat?"

After Brooke gives you her order, you go and stand in line while she keeps an eye on Payton and Jake. While you wait, you decide to text Mei.

"Weird question. I'm starting to think and act like Brooke more and more. I'm noticing the same is happening to her but not as much. Have I been in her body too long?"

You step forward as the line moves, reaching the counter. You give the person your order and Brooke's, tapping your nails on the back of the phone. After about a minute, the phone vibrates.

"Your soul is molding to her body and that includes the brain. You should be fine when you are yourself again. She may be getting comfortable in your body and acting like you would because of your body's habits. Especially if you are out in public."

You read the text a couple of times. You have no reason not to trust Mei, but her response doesn't make you feel much better about the situation.

"Makes sense. Thanks." You text back.

You take the food and go back to the table, where Brooke is playing a game on your phone. Neither of you say much while you eat, preferring to keep your eyes on your targets.

"Can I ask you something?" You ask after a long period of silence.

"Sure," Brooke says with a mouth full of food.

"Are you enjoying being in my body?"

"It's been pretty fun so far," she says after swallowing. "Why?"

"I've noticed today that I'm starting to think and act more like you, and I've sort of noticed you doing the same thing. I mean, I ran into Krista a little while ago, and the longer I was talking to her, the more it felt like you were doing the talking for me. I actually told her I dressed like this so you would keep your eyes on me today while we're here. And then you made that joke about me being a thirsty bitch... That's not really like you, that's more like me," you say, wiping your hands and resting them in your lap.

"It was just a joke babe," Brooke says. "I figured you would've found it funny."

"It just seemed weird coming from you is all. Even if you are me. I texted Mei while I was in line and she sa-"

"Hang on, they're moving," Brooke cuts you off. You look over to see Payton and Jake's fuzzy figures standing up from their table. They exchange a hug, then a slow kiss. Even though you can't see them that clearly, you can see that their kiss had meaning and love behind it, and your face reflexively scrunches up. Shortly after, they depart - Payton walking back toward your table, and Jake going back into one of the employee hallways that runs behind all of the stores. Brooke puts her head down so as not to be seen when Payton passes your table, and once again she barely even realizes you're there. Once out of earshot, you tap Brooke on the arm to let her know the coast is clear.

"Alright. I think we should wait another 15 or 20 minutes," Brooke says. "That way she won't be as quick to question why he didn't just give her the bracelet just now."

You nod in agreement and go back to eating your food. After a few minutes in silence, you look up to see Brooke has hardly touched her food. Instead, she has her fist pressed against her mouth, and she's watching you eat.

"You look like you want to say something," you say with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm just thinking," she says, moving her hand to rest on her cheek.

"Thinking about what?"

"Well," she starts slowly. "You're not from this reality or timeline or whatever. But obviously yours has to be at least mostly similar to this one. I was thinking about what might be different about the two, like earlier with my eyebrow. And I was also thinking about your situation. Everything you've gone through... I don't know why but it just really started to hit me," Brooke says with a half frown. You reach across the table and hold her hands, rubbing your manicured thumb across the tops of her hands. You feel your stomach sink just a little, knowing that Brooke has always been emotionally empathetic - sometimes to a fault.

"Don't worry baby," you say, offering a small smile. "It hasn't been easy, but it'll all be worth it soon." You can see a small tear forming in her eye, so you squeeze her hands tighter for reassurance.

"I just... I don't know how you haven't completely broken down. I know I would have..."

"Oh trust me, I've shed my fair share of tears over all this," you say with a soft laugh. "But I'm just doing what I have to. For us... For you."

Brooke brings your hands up to her face and presses them against her lips, closing her eyes and breathing deeply. "I just can't stop thinking about it... How freaked out you must have been..."

"It's all in the past now," you say. "Come on, you'll feel better if you eat."

Brooke looks down at her food, trying her best not to cry. You pick up a few fries off her tray and start poking them at her mouth until a smile forms on her face. She shakes her head and rolls her eyes, then opens her mouth to eat them.

"You're really good at these girlfriend duties, you know," she says after she swallows the fries.

"I learned from the best," you say, giving her a smile.

Brooke sticks out her tongue at you and picks up some more fries. You lean back in the chair and crack your back, then take a look around the food court. Business seems to be picking up, the number of people at the mall having easily doubles since you arrived.

Both of you keeps your heads in your phones until the time comes, Brooke eating about three quarters of her meal before deciding she's done with it. You clear off the table and walk the tray of trash to the garbage can. With each step you can feel your feet aching more and more, tempting you to remove the heels from your feet. After dumping everything, you turn around to see Brooke standing right behind you, holding the blue bracelet.

"So I was thinking I could just tell him the pink bracelet is like a breast cancer awareness thing," Brooke says. You take the blue bracelet from her, thinking about it for a moment.

"That might actually be better, yeah," you say, nodding slowly and tucking the bracelet into your bag. "I just wish there were a way to do this where we could keep the bracelets afterwards."

"Oh, I have a feeling that neither of them will want to keep their bracelets," Brooke smirks. Even with her in your body, you can see that mischievous look in her eye that both excites and frightens you.

You nod slowly with an eyebrow raised. "Do I want to know?" Brooke just smiles and shakes her head no. "I didn't think so. Alright, I'll head over to Victoria's Secret and I'll text you as soon as she's wearing the bracelet, so keep and eye on your phone. My phone... Whatever. Wish me luck," you say with a half smile.

Brooke leans down and kisses you, and you can feel her excitement as your lips press together. Her lips form a smile just before she pulls away from the kiss. "Good luck!"

You return her smile and turn away, beginning your trek back to the lingerie store. Trying to distract yourself from your feet as you walk, you begin to think about what other small differences there might be in this alternate reality. Everything appears the same on the surface, but as you begin to think harder you realizes the differences could be incredibly minute. Maybe there's a thumb tack just slightly out of place in someone's wall somewhere, or maybe a ketchup bottle in a bar has a few more drops in it that there would be back home. Focusing back on your surroundings, you realize you're already at the store.

Gathering up your courage, you take a deep breath and step inside the store again. The same flamboyant man looks up from the desk and smiles at you.

"Welcome back," he says with a smile.

"Thanks," you say with a little smirk. "Um, I'm looking for a girl named Payton, is she here? Her boyfriend asked me to bring her something," you say, glancing around the store.

"Her boyfriend? Which one?" The man ask sarcastically. You can't help but raise an eyebrow and let out a little laugh. "I'm kidding, of course, I'm kidding," he says, but somehow you get the feeling there's a kernel of truth behind that. "Payton!" He yells down an aisle, raising a hand and motioning for her to come up front.

A few seconds later she rounds the corner, and your heart skips a beat again. The man makes a motion, and Payton turns her attention towards you. "How can I help you?" She asks. You swallow hard, and start digging around in your purse.

"I just, uh, had an interview with Jake over at Subway, he asked me to bring this to you," you say, pulling the bracelet out of the bag and handing it over to her. "He said he forgot to give it to you earlier, but he wanted you to have it right away, didn't want to wait," you say, trying not to fumble your words. Payton takes the bracelet and begins inspecting it, a smile forming on her face.

"That's so sweet," she says, putting the bracelet on. "Such a pretty color too. Kind of weird for him to a stranger though." She twirls it on her wrist. "Thanks for bringing it to me, um... What was your name?"

"Oh, uh, I'm Ana," you say, deciding to use Brooke's middle name. "And he's not really a stranger, he was friends with my brother in high school."

"Ah, I see, that makes sense." She says. You let out a small sigh of relief. "Thank you Ana, I hope you get the job!" Payton says.

"Thanks, me too," you say, giving a fake smile. "Have a good day."

"You too!" Payton says, walking away happily.

"Ta ta, Ana," the flamboyant man waves with a smile. You give him a small finger-wave and walk back out of the store. You pull the phone out of the purse, and text Brooke "She's wearing the bracelet. I'll be at GameStop. BE CAREFUL."

Almost immediately she replies with a thumbs up emoji. Even though this whole thing was your idea, you can't help but feel a sense of worry. Putting the phone away, you head over to GameStop. Upon entering, a fat, acne riddled man-child behind the counter greets you.

"Welcome to GameStop, what can I do you for?" He says, emphasizing the word 'you'.

"Just looking," you say shortly, glaring at him and gritting your teeth.

"Well my name is Gus, if there's anything you need m'lady, please don't hesitate to ask," he says with a smile. The word 'm'lady' practically makes your skin crawl, and you want to say something to him, but decide against it. Knocking out one creepy dude seems like enough for today.

"Thanks," you say, turning and heading toward the Xbox section. I need a new controller, you think to yourself, but $60 of Brooke's money is a bit expensive, even if I do pay her back.

You spend the next 15 minutes idly browsing, trying to ignore the stares of men going in and out of the store. You pull your phone out, but still no word from Brooke. Getting worried, you poke your head out of the store and glance around hoping to see her, but no such luck.

"???" You type on the phone. Just before you can hit send, the phone vibrates and you receive a text from Brooke. "Call me ASAP. No matter what I say keep the convo going."

Immediately you place the call, and after a couple of rings Brooke picks up.

"Brandon here," you hear her say in your voice on the other end.

"What's going on? Where are you?" You ask worriedly.

"Ah yes, I'm just going over everything with Jake here at store 04219, actually I'm just about finished here but it looks like everything adds up." She says. She must have had a better plan than you realized. Wait, you think, 4219? There's something familiar about those numbers.

"So you haven't told him about the, uh, breast cancer bracelets then?" You ask. Where have you heard those numbers before?

"No," Brooke says. "I think it's just due to the fact that this store is in a mall. People would rather stay at home and order from Amazon or eBay, you know, instead of buying from a store, and that hurts the food court here as well." She's definitely putting on a good show, at least.

"Well hurry up. My feet are killing me. Creepy dudes keep staring at me. I want to go home now," you say.

"Sure, I can be on a plane in the next, say, three hours," Brooke said. "I only have three stores left after this for today. Go ahead and email me the next round, we'll talk again soon."

"Just, hurry up, okay?" You said, hearing the worry in your own voice. "And be careful!"

"Will do," she says. "Alright, talk to you soon. Bye."

Putting the phone away, you let out a long, exasperated sigh. Suddenly it hits you. 4219. Forty two nineteen. $42.19 - exactly how much the necklaces cost. That absolutely can't be a coincidence... But what could it mean?

You decide to sit at one of the two-person tables outside GameStop, and another 5 minutes goes by before you see Brooke in your body walking toward you, clutching the pink bracelet. She seems ecstatic, though, as if the plan went off without a hitch.

"Umm..." You start to say as she gets within earshot, motioning to the bracelet and raising an eyebrow.

"That went much better than I expec- oh, hang on," Brooke says. She walks past you, and you turn around to see where she's going. "Payton!" she says rather loudly. Squinting your eyes, you can just make out Payton's fuzzy outline.

"Oh god, it was you, wasn't it?!" She screamed, attempting to slap Brooke in the face. Brooke catches her hand, and takes the blue bracelet off Payton's wrist before speaking again.

"If you want it fixed, I suggest you go talk to Jake," Brooke says calmly. Payton snatches her hand away and starts fast walking towards Subway, tears falling from her face.

"Brooke, what the hell?" You ask, shocked at what just happened.

"On that note, I think it's time we get out of here. Come on, I'll explain on the way."

The Magic Shop - Chapter XIV

Chapter XIV - At the Mall, Part 1

You can see the wheels turning in Brooke's head, and slowly her eyes begin to widen and a huge grin forms on her face. "You're a fucking genius!" She grabs your shoulders and kisses you on the mouth. "Oh man... We just actually have to make sure they're here," she says.

"Well the easiest way would be for you to scope out the food court, and I can check in Victoria's Secret," you say. "That way they won't recognize our bodies." Brooke nods, and you can tell by the look on her face just how much she's going to enjoy this if your plan actually works.

"Alright, alright, but how are we going to get them to actually wear the bracelets?" Brooke asks.

"Hmm... I think I could give the blue one to Payton and just say that Jake asked me to take it to her. She'd probably wear it for a while if she thought it was from him, which would give us enough time to get the pink one on him. I don't know how exactly to do that, though..."

"I'll bet I can get it on him. I have a plan," Brooke says confidently. "I'll go see if Jake's there. Shoot me a text when you find out if she's working, alright?"

"I will," you say with a small smile. You stand up a little higher on your toes and kiss her again before she walks away. "I love you, babe."

"Love you too," she says. "And no cheating on your challenge!" She says, beginning to walk away.

"Oh no, I'm wearing these heels all day, like a real man," you say, sticking your tongue out. Brooke smiles and turns away from you, headed to the food court.

You hoist the purse back up onto your shoulder and turn to face the Victoria's Secret entrance. You hesitate for a moment, trying to prepare yourself to see Payton again. After all, you haven't seen her in over half a decade. Swallowing hard, you force yourself forward, stepping into the store.

The store is everything you remember it to be. Modern music targeted at millennials playing through the speakers, rows of bras, panties, and various what-have-yous, almost all of see-through and/or skimpy as hell.

"How ya doin' today, hun?" A very flamboyant man asks from behind the register.

"I'm good," you say, offering a small smile. "Just looking around."

"Alright, let us know if you need anything," he says, going back to filling out paperwork.

"Will do," you say, stepping down one of the aisles. You admire the selection, one or two pieces even catching your eye as you pass them. "I wouldn't look bad in this," you say to yourself, your eyes widening as you realize what you've just said. Maybe you've been in Brooke's body just a bit too long.

As you reach the back row, you look to your left and see an employee rearranging things on a shelf. You can't tell from your current angle if it's really her or not, although her body shape does look familiar. You step over to a rack and pretend to look through some clothes, watching her intently. For the first minute or so, nothing happens, until finally the girl bends down. You have to squint, but you can make out a red and black tattoo on her lower back. Your heart begins to race - the chances of this being Payton just skyrocketed. She stands back up and turns from the shelf, your heart skipping a beat as you finally see her face. There is no doubt any more - you've found her.

"Did you need help with something?" She asks. Her voice sends a shiver up your spine, and you realize you were staring at her just a bit too long. Shit, you think. Be calm, she doesn't know it's really me.

"N-no, just um, just looking," you manage to say.

"Okay, well, let me know," Payton says, turning and walking down another aisle. You let out a sigh of relief once she's out of earshot. Why am I acting like this? You think. I can't possibly still have feelings for her... Can I?

You pull Brooke's phone out of her purse and send a message to your phone. "She's here."

You walk out of the store, trying not to bring attention to yourself by keeping your head down and in your phone. Once you're out of there, you step over to the railing and look down - about 20 feet or so to the bottom floor of the mall. You feel your grip tighten on the rail just a bit as your fear of heights makes its return, when Brooke's phone goes off.

"So is Jake. Coming back to you."

You stuff the phone back in the purse and start walking toward the food court where Brooke is. You meet her halfway, in front of an acne cream kiosk, and step off to the side where no one will hear your conversation.

"So," you say, putting your hands behind your back and gently swaying your hips. "I think the best way to do this would be for you to run home and grab the bracelets. You'll get there faster if you go without me."

"So you can stay here and cheat on the challenge?" Brooke raises an eyebrow.

"Ew, no. There's no way in hell I'm gonna walk around this place barefoot. Your feet will fall off your legs LONG before that happens," you say, looking down at your pedicured toes. "No, I'll stay here and make sure Payton doesn't leave. I doubt Jake's going anywhere, it's still early and he's the GM of his store, but who knows what her schedule looks like?"

"Alright, fair enough," Brooke says. "I'll run home and grab them then. Do you want me to grab anything else?"

"Maybe just some water," you say.

"Okay," she says. She leans down and kisses you, wrapping her arm around your waist and behind your back to pull you in close. For a moment, the world seems to melt away and it's just the two of you, leaning up against the wall, lips locked tightly together. Like all good things though, it must come to an end. You look up at Brooke, feeling the butterflies in your stomach again as a smile forms on your face.

"Be safe, baby," you say, taking hold of her hand and squeezing it tight.

"Of course," she says, squeezing your hand back. "I love you."

"I love you too," you say. "Now go on, we don't have all day!"

Brooke holds your hand just a few moments longer before letting go, turning and quickly walking away towards Macy's where the car is parked. Once she rounds the corner and is gone from sight, you turn the other direction and take the escalator down to the first floor.

As you walk, you pass by a group of five teenage boys sitting near the wishing fountain. You can feel all of their eyes on you as you walk by - part of you feels proud that you look as good as you do, and another part of you feels disgusted since you know exactly what each of them is thinking about doing to your girlfriend's body. Doing your best to ignore them, you start walking just a little faster, rounding the corner and walking into Jared, the jewelry shop.

"Hello there," a young man with a British accent says, smiling from behind the counter. It takes everything you have to not respond with 'General Kenobi.'

"Hi," you say, returning the smile. "So, I want to propose to my girlfriend," you say, taking a moment to realize you just made yourself sound like a lesbian. "Um, I know we wear the same size ring, but I don't actually know what the size is."

"Well let's go ahead and get you measured," the young man says. He walks over to a drawer and pulls out a wide string about 6 inches long, a pen, a ruler, and a piece of paper with a bunch of numbers on it. "May I see your hand please?" He asks, setting the ruler and paper down on the counter.

You hold out your left hand and spread your fingers. He wraps the string around your ring finger and pulls it snug.

"Normally we have an actual sizing tool, but the boss broke it last week and we haven't gotten a new one yet, so we have to do it like this," he says. "Does this feel too tight?"

"It could be just a hair looser," you say, feeling weird about saying 'looser.' He relaxes the string slightly.

"And now?" His accent sounds so posh and perfect, you feel yourself becoming attracted to it.

"Perfect," you say. He holds the string in place with one hand and marks it where it overlaps. He sets the pen down and lays the string flat up against the ruler, and studies the paper.

"Let's see here..." He says to himself. "Sixteen and a half millimeters... Looks like you're a size six," he says with a smile. "Here, let me have you try this on to be sure." He pulls a plain silver ring out from behind the counter and hands it to you.

You slide the ring onto your finger. It's just tight enough that it won't go anywhere on accident, but not so tight that it's annoying or would cut off the circulation.

"That's amazing," you say quietly, handing the ring back to the man.

"Would you like to try anything on? We have payment and layaway options, if you're interested," he says. You think for a moment, and pull out your phone to check the time.

"Oh crap, I'm sorry, I don't have the time," you say, trying to sound a bit rushed. "Thank you so much, though, I'll come back later!" You say, turning to leave.

"I'll be here," the man says. "Have a good day, miss."

"You too!" You say, rushing out of the door and around the corner. You slow down as you reach the fountain, where the same boys are still sitting. You try not to make eye contact with any of them as you pass by, holding your purse a little tighter.

Suddenly, one of the boys lets out a wolf whistle. You freeze and turn to look at them, a wave of anger washing over you. You walk towards them with determination, a few of the boys trying to stifle their laughs.

"First and last chance, boys. Who was it?" You ask angrily, putting a hand on your hip. All but one of the boys scoots away, leaving the culprit alone in the middle. He's young, only 14 or 15 at the most, and scrawny as hell. He's wearing skinny jeans and a Slayer t-shirt, with black skate shoes and hair down to his shoulders that covers one of his eyes. He looks around at his snickering friends, then up at you, his mouth trying to form words but nothing coming out.

"Haha, you fucked up now, Dylan!" One of the boys cackles.

"I... I..." Dylan stammers.

"You, you what?" You demand. "You thought just because I'm dressed like I am that I'm some kind of whore? You thought, what, if you whistle at me I'll just drop to my knees and suck your tiny, hairless dick?"

The rest of the boys bust out laughing, one of them almost falling over.

"I-it was supposed to be a compliment..." Dylan mutters.

Before you realize what happened next, your right fist connects with all the force you can muster against Dylan's nose. He falls backwards, landing in the fountain with a loud splash. The rest of the boys hoot and holler, one of them even clapping in celebration. Without another word, you turn, flipping your pony-tailed hair over your shoulder, and walk away, taking the escalator back upstairs.

When you reach the top, Brooke's phone gets a text. You pull it out and see that it's from you - your phone at least. "Just got home. You sure you don't need anything while I'm here? Any movement?" With your hand wrapped around the phone, still buzzing from the punch, you realize you accidentally broke the nail on your ring finger. Great, you think, that'll make her happy.

"Just the water please. Nothing yet." you text back.

"Ok"

You put the phone back and walk back towards Victoria's Secret. Peeking inside as you pass by, you can see Payton leaned over the front of the counter, talking to the flamboyant man from earlier. You let out a sigh of relief when you see she's still there, and head for Hot Topic next.

The store is incredibly dim, as it usually is, and there's loud metal-core music blaring through the speakers. A heavily pierced and tattooed girl sits behind the counter, texting on her phone. No one else is in the store.

"Welcome to Hot Topic," she says, not even looking up from her phone.

"Hey, do you guys sell tongue rings?" You ask.

"Yeah, right behind me in this glass case," she says, setting the phone down and turning around. You walk over and begin looking through the limited selection.

"I need one with kind of a shorter rod," you say.

"These ones here on your right are the shortest we have," she says. Most of what they have is kind of dull, but you do see one that looks interesting. The decorative ball is a bright pink, with a black heart in the center of it.

"I'll take that pink and black heart one," you say, tapping on the glass with your nail. The girl pulls it out of the case and sets it on the counter.

"Is that gonna be all for you?"

"I think so, yeah," you nod. She types on the computer for a few moments and scans the package.

"$5.40, she says. You pull $6 from Brooke's wallet and hand it to her. After she gives you the change, you thank her and leave the store, stuffing the package and receipt into Brooke's purse. Checking her phone, you see a text from Brooke from a few minutes ago, saying she was leaving the house.

You go across the walkway and into the women's restroom. The fact that there are no urinals doesn't seem odd to you, but it's definitely different than what you're used to - especially the tampon and diaper dispensers mounted to the wall. You step over to the mirror, checking to make sure your hair still looks alright, and you realize you're still wearing the earrings from last night. Satisfied, you take the tongue ring out and break open the packaging. The rod is definitely shorter than the one Brooke has at home. Hopefully I'll be able to talk with this one, you think to yourself. You unscrew the ball and insert the rod into your tongue with even less effort than before, and screw the ball back on. You twist it so the heart is right side up, and try to speak.

"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. She sells sea shells by the sea shore. This that there then they those," you say. Perfect, you think, no more speaking issues. You stick out your tongue and take a picture, but decide to wait on sending it since you'll see Brooke soon anyway. You throw the package and receipt away, heading back out into the walkway.

"Brooke! Hey, Brooke!" You hear someone calling out. Looking around, you can just make out someone far away waving for you. The person comes closer and you can just barely see their face with Brooke's impaired vision. It's Brooke's best friend, Krista. Shit.

"Damn babe, looking good!" Krista says, coming up to you and giving you a hug. "Boyfriend out of town or something?" She giggles.

"No," you say, putting on a grin. "He'll actually be here soon. I just gotta make sure he keeps his eyes on me today." What the hell are you saying?

"Well if this outfit doesn't do it, you'll have to find you a guy that isn't into men, because damn, girl," she says.

"I know right?" You say, now smiling for real.

"I'm surprised you're here, what with He-who-must-not-be-named working here now," Krista says, giving you a slightly concerned look. It takes you a moment before you realize she's talking about Jake and not Lord Voldemort.

"Nah, I'll be fine," you say. "I'm just avoiding the food court today."

"Good idea," she nods. "Well look I gotta run, but text me, okay?"

"For sure babe," you say without thinking about it. Krista gives you a quick hug goodbye, and goes back to the group she came with. That could have gone worse, you think, but why am I starting to think and act more like Brooke?

You look up, and see a familiar body walking toward you. Oh shit, you think. Payton walks past you, barely even noticing that you're there. Staying a comfortable distance behind, you follow her all the way to the food court, where she goes and stands in line at Roberto's to get Mexican food for lunch. You whip out the phone and text Brooke. "She's at the food court now. Must be lunch break?" Before you can even put the phone away, Brooke texts you back.

"Just parked, be there in a sec." You reply with a thumbs up emoji and put the phone back in the purse.

You walk over to sit down at an empty table and cross your legs, keeping a close eye on Payton. Just as she reaches the front of the line, Brooke seems to pop up out of nowhere and sits down in front you, causing you to jump.

"Christ, I didn't see you," you say. "Hey, you changed?" You ask, just realizing that Brooke is now wearing one of your suits. She looks really good actually, except her tie just hangs from her neck, as though she didn't even attempt to tie it.

"It's all part of the plan," she says with a smile.

"Hmm, interesting," you say. "Couldn't figure out the tie?"

"Not a chance in hell," she says. "Could you?" She sets the water bottle and bracelets on the table.

"Sure," you say. You both lean in, and you take hold of the tie. Trying to do it for someone else proves to be rather difficult, amplified by the fact that not only are you right handed now, but your hands are much smaller than you're used to handling the tie with. After a minute of trial and error, you manage a decent looking Half-Windsor.

"You rock," Brooke sits back and smiles at you.

"I know," you say, reaching for the water bottle. You crack it open and drink half of it in one go.

"Oh yeah, drink it all, you thirsty bitch," Brooke jokes. You scrunch up your face, processing what she just said. That's not something she would normally say, you think, that's something *I* would normally say. Is something happening to us?

"Look babe, I already had to punch one guy while you were gone. Don't think I won't do it a-" just then something catches your eye. "Well well, speak of the devil," you say as you see a teenage boy with damp clothes walk slowly up to your table.

"H-hi, um, I'm sorry to interrupt you," Dylan says. You look over at Brooke, both of her eyebrows raised in surprise as she wonders what's going on. Looking back at Dylan, you can see he has a tissue stuffed up one nostril. You lean back in the chair, raising an eyebrow.

"You here to whistle at me again?" You ask coldly, bouncing your foot slightly. The look on Brooke's face is slightly amusing as she begins to piece together what all this is about.

"No ma'am," Dylan shakes his head. "I just wanted to apologize... I'm sorry for whistling at you..."

"So you understand what you did was wrong?" Dylan nods slowly, maintaining eye contact with you. "You understand that was disrespectful, disgusting, and just plain rude?" Dylan nods again. He sniffles, but you're not sure if he's about to cry, or if it's because his nose is still bleeding. "You understand that I don't dress like I do for your amusement?"

Dylan swallows hard. "I do..."

"Most importantly, I hope you understand that if it ever happens again, you'll do more than just get a little wet."

"I know, I... I'm sorry..." He looks down, tears forming in his eyes.

"You know, if you want a girl to notice you - and not immediately hate your guts - you should try using your words. Be polite, don't be a creep, and don't showboat in front of your friends like that for a cheap laugh. Okay?"

"O-okay," he trembles.

"Apology accepted. Now get out of here," you say, brushing your hair behind your shoulder. Dylan turns and walks away slowly. You turn your head and look at Brooke, her mouth excitedly agape.

"Babe, what did you do?!" She asks, sounding more excited than concerned.

"He was sitting at the fountain downstairs with his friends and he whistled at me when I was walking by, so, I might have given him a little punch in the face, and he may or may not have fallen into the fountain. On accident, of course," you say proudly.

"Oh my god, you badass!" Brooke reaches up and you give each other a hi-five.

"Sorry about your nail though," you say, showing it to her.

"Oh please, this is a badge of honor!" She exclaims. "Let me see the purse, I'll fix it for you." You hand it over, and she begins digging through a side pocket that you didn't even realize was there. She pulls out a small pair of nail clippers and a file. She tries to clip off a small section of the nail, but stops abruptly.

"Oh yeah," you say, realizing what just happened. "I forgot to mention, since you're in my body, you're left handed now." She looks at you surprised.

"Really?" She switched the clippers to her left hand and tries again with much more success. "That's so weird!"

"Right?!" You say. You look up to see Payton walking away from the register with her food in hand. "She's moving," you say quietly. "Keep your head down so she doesn't recognize you."

Brooke lowers her head and continues working on your nail, while you watch Payton walk across the food court and sit down at an empty table close to Subway. Of course she would sit there, you think. You can barely see, but it looks like she waves at someone behind the counter.

"Baby, when we're done here we're going to an eye doctor and getting you some glasses. Or at least making the appointment," you say. "This is ridiculous, I can hardly see anything that's not right in front of me."

"I know, I know," Brooke says. "I've been meaning to do that, but-"

"But you haven't had time, and you don't think you'd look good with glasses, and you don't want to stab yourself in the eyes to wear contacts," you nod, cutting off her sentence. Brooke stops what she's doing and looks at you live you've grown a second head.

"Sorry, we had that conversation before I used the watch... You kinda had to be there," you say, smirking a little. "For the record, I think you would look great with glasses, you know, get that whole sexy librarian thing going..."

Brooke rolls her eyes and shakes her head, trying not to smile. "All done," she says, stuffing the items back in the bag. You turn your hand and inspect your nails. As strange as it looks having one nail shorter than the rest, Brooke did an excellent job fixing it.

"Oh! I got you something," you say.

"With my money?" She chuckles. "How thoughtful."

You stick out your tongue to show off the new tongue ring, holding the rod down with your top teeth. Brooke leans in close to get a good look at it.

"Wow, I actually really like that, its pretty," she says, satisfied with your purchase. "It must have a shorter rod too, right? Since you're not talking all funny?"

"Mhm," you nod your head.

"Very nice," she says. "So what does Payton look like anyway? I haven't seen her yet."

You look over to see her sitting at the table, and now someone wearing black clothes and a hat has joined her, but you can't make out the features of either one of them.

"She's the brunette sitting with who I'm guessing is Jake over there, right in front of Subway," you say. "But I can't see them too well from here." Brooke sits up straight, craning her neck.

"Does she have a red and black tramp stamp?"

"That's her," you say.

"Gotcha. Well I don't think we'll be able to get the bracelets on them while they're together, so we'll just have to wait them out," Brooke says.

"Good," you say. "I'm freaking starving over here."

The Magic Shop - Chapter XIII

Chapter XIII - A Mile In Her 3.5" Shoes

"I'll tell you what," you say. "If you teach me how to actually walk in these things, we'll go to the mall and go shopping. You can even see how your clothes look without having to try them on yourself," you say.

"You think you're clever, don't you? You won't be trying on any pants while we're there, those shoes are NOT coming off until you concede" Brooke says matter-of-factly. "You're just begging for sore feet today, aren't you?"

"Well when I win your little challenge - not if, when - the first thing you're doing is giving me a nice, long foot massage like I always give you. The other thing I want to do is going to have to wait until next week though," you say.

Brooke raises an eyebrow. "Oh really? And what would we be doing next week?" She asks with piqued interest.

"Oh, we'll get there," you say with a wink. "There's something I still have to buy anyway."

"Something from the mall?"

"I would be both surprised and concerned if they sold this particular thing anywhere in the mall."

"Oh rreeeeeeaaaaallllllllyyyyy," she says, obviously interested. "Well then you're on! But I still highly doubt you're going to last all day in those shoes."

"Just you wait," you say as you stand up. "Now come on, teach me the super powers I need to walk in these things." Brooke chuckles at that, and stands up too.

"Alright," she starts. "The first thing is to stand up straight, and lean back just a little. You want just a little more weight on your heel than your toes. It helps with both your balance and your confidence as you walk." You follow her directions, and already feel slightly more balanced.

"You don't want to try and take regular sized steps in heels, but don't take baby steps either," she continues. "Maybe, two thirds of a regular step, give or take. Don't be afraid to take a little more time to get where you're going if you need to."

"Okay," you say with a nod.

"Make sure your steps land heel to toe, just like regular walking," she says. "You don't want to try and tip toe while you're leaning back, and putting your whole foot down at once looks and feels awkward. When you're walking, don't watch your feet unless you have to, like if you're on a really uneven sidewalk or something. When you watch your feet you lean forward, which throws off your balance. Try to focus more on where you're going than what you're doing."

"Makes sense," you say. "Stand up straight, lean back, smaller steps, take my time, heel to toe, try not to look down..." you say, trying to make sure you've got it all. "Anything else?"

"Try to keep your foot arched slightly - pushing down with your toes. It'll help keep the shoe closer to your foot which helps your balance a bit. Aside from that, it's just practice really," Brooke says.

"Alright," you say. "Let me try." You focus on your bedroom door down the hallway, trying to remember everything she said. You almost stumble on your first couple of steps, but you manage to make it the rest of the way rather smoothly. Turning around when you reach the door, Brooke smiles at you and gives a little clap of approval.

"Not bad babe," she says.

"I told you I got this," you say as you start to walk back down the hall. When you get back to where you first were, you put your hand on your hip and strike a pose, flipping your hair.

"Work it gurl!" Brooke says, snapping her fingers fabulously. You giggle and snap your fingers in return.

"Go get ready babe, and let's do this thing," you say. Brooke nods and heads towards the bedroom. As she passes you, she reaches down and gives your ass a firm grab. Letting out a yelp, you pick up a pillow off the couch and throw it at her.

"What can I say baby?" She asks with a laugh. "You make my ass look good!"

You give her a half amused, half confused look with your hand on your hip, and she shrugs with a smirk on her face as she walks backwards towards the door. You roll your eyes and shake your head as she disappears into the bedroom.

While you wait, you decide to practice walking some more. Starting slow, you take a short lap around the living room, focusing on everything Brooke said. After your lap, you decide a lap around the whole house couldn't hurt. You make one, two more laps, feeling pretty confident in yourself - although considering Brooke's body already knows how to walk in heels, it's not like you're some high fashion prodigy. Halfway through your third lap around the house, Brooke emerges from the bedroom. She walks up to you and hands you her purse, filled with her phone, wallet, keys, rescue inhaler, make up, breath mints, tissues, loose change, and various feminine products.

"Turn around a sec," she says. You turn around and feel Brooke's hands gathering up all of your hair. In one swift motion she ties it all up in a tight ponytail, leaving hardly a hair out of place. She spins you around to get a better look at you, smiling at her handiwork. "New and improved with 50% more slut," she smirks. You give her a playful push, but pull out her phone to see how it looks anyway. You turn on the selfie camera to inspect yourself, and in the corner of the screen you see Brooke's face - or rather, your face - going cross-eyed and sticking her tongue out. You roll your eyes and snap a picture.

"Ugh can't take this boy anywhere" you caption the photo, uploading it to Brooke's Facebook and Instagram accounts. She was right though, the ponytail absolutely helps your slut look.

"I think you should drive today," you say.

"I think you're right," Brooke says, grabbing your keys off the hook. You walk outside and Brooke follows, locking the door behind you. As you walk out to the car, Brooke passes you, purposely taking larger steps. At first you think she's just giving you crap about the heels, until she gets to the car and opens the passenger door for you.

"Why thank you kind sir," you say, blushing a little.

"M'lady," she says, bowing her head. Normally you hate when guys use that word, but coming from Brooke in your body, it's actually kind of cute. You climb into the car, almost grinning from ear to ear. Brooke shuts the door and gets in the driver's seat.

The ride to the mall is relatively short, only about 10 minutes in traffic. Neither of you say much during the ride, but you hold hands the whole trip like you always do. You spend most of that time admiring your legs and feet, wondering if Brooke will be able to look past her perceived imperfections about herself once this is all over.

"So uh, we can't park near the food court," Brooke speaks up as she makes the turn onto the ring shaped road around the mall.

"Why for because?" You ask in a silly tone.

"Well, you remember Jake?" She asks. You scrunch up your face, thinking for a moment

"You mean that dick licking piece of shit frat boy you dated that tried to hit you?"

"That's the one," Brooke says with a sigh. "His sister Kylie told Jenny who told Krista who told me that he's GMing the Subway here now. And he's dating some bitch at Victoria's Secret."

"I'll fucking kill him if I see him," you say, clenching your fists and teeth.

"Baby calm down," she says calmly, pulling into a parking space in front of Macy's and putting her hand on your leg. "We're just going to stay away from the food court today, alright? Trust me, I don't like him either - and I know it would get ugly really quickly if we saw him under regular circumstances. But we don't need to take any chances while we're like this. Promise me if we do run into him you'll behave?"

"You know I hate him," you say shortly, crossing your arms.

"I know. Now promise me."

You let out a slow, angry sigh. "Fine, I promise to behave if I see that cock sucking son of a-"

"Damn it!"

"I'll behave! I promise," you say, holding up a pinky. Brooke looks at you with a twinge of anger and concern, but locks her pinky with yours. It may seem childish to most, but Brooke still takes pinky promises very seriously.

"Thank you," she says.

"I'm sorry. You know how much I get worked up over that douchebag."

"I know baby. But not today, right?"

"Not today," you say, offering a little smile.

"Thank you, she says again. You both open the doors and get out. You meet Brooke behind the car, and hold hands as you begin walking across the parking lot into the mall.

As you walk, you feel like you have to rush to keep up with Brooke. Not only are her legs now much longer than yours, but you have to take several much shorter steps in your heels with your much shorter legs. Brooke looks down at you and tries not to laugh. You give her a playfully angry look as the automatic doors open.

It's still relatively early, so there aren't many people in the mall. Walking into Macy's, you don't see anyone yet. Rows and rows of clothes, with some upbeat modern music playing quietly through the speakers in the ceiling. It's almost spooky how quiet it is - your breathing and the click-clack of your shoes are the loudest sounds filling your ears. Brooke leads you through the store and into the large open walkways of the mall itself. There are a few people scattered about, but nothing close to the huge crowd you'd expect from a mall this size.

Brooke gives you a gentle nudge as you approach Victoria's Secret. You look up at her with mild curiosity. "You want to go in there?" You ask, sounding a bit nervous.

"Well sure," Brooke says. "You did say you would try on clothes so I can see how they look on me."

"Well yeah, but I was thinking more along the lines of JC Penny or something," you say.

"No way, you're not nervous, are you?" Brooke says with a wicked grin.

"No I'm not!"

"Oh my god, you totally are!" Brooke laughs. "What could you possibly have to be nervous about?"

"I'm not nervous! I just don't want to try on lingerie is all..."

"Babe. You may be in my body, but you're still a horrible liar," Brooke says, stopping and standing in front of you. "Seriously, what's going on? We've gone in there before and it wasn't a big deal then."

"Well, yeah, but Payton wasn't working there before..."

"Um, who?" Brooke raises an eyebrow.

"You remember I told you about that girl I dated in high school and into college?" You look down, trying not to think too hard about it.

"HER?" Brooke looks shocked. "You mean the one that dumped you because she thought she was 'missing out on real life' by only ever having one boyfriend? THAT one?"

"Yeah..."

"Well then you have to go in there, you have to tell her off!" Brooke leans in and quiets her voice a bit. "You don't have to hold back either. You can knock her fucking lights out if you want to. You're a girl too now, it won't look as bad if you hit her."

"Babe, I can't do that," you sigh. "Sure, she broke my heart, but I don't hate her. Besides, I thought we were playing nice around our exes today?"

"Oh come on," Brooke says. "We can kick Jake's ass whenever. But this is your one chance to get back at her!"

"Damn it, no," you say, putting your foot down both metaphorically and literally. When your foot connects to the floor, you start to realize just how sore your feet are already becoming. "It took me a long time to move on from her, and it's just not worth it... Two or three years ago, maybe, but not now. And plus, it's not really my only chance - just my only chance this week," you say with a tiny smirk.

"Fine," Brooke says. "I will make you confront her eventually, though, whether you're in my body or not."

"I don't even know what I would say after all this time, honestly," you say. "Like, even if I was in my own body, 'Hey, remember me, you broke up with me a long ass time ago, so fuck you, bye'? I mean, what good does that do? And what if she tries to send her boyfriend after me or something?"

"If you haven't noticed, you're freaking gigantic. I'm sure you could take whatever pipsqueak she sends your way," Brooke smiles at you. "Do you know who it is?"

"I don't know, some dude that works at - oh my god," you have a sudden realization.

"What?"

"You remember how you said Jake is dating some bitch that works at Victoria's Secret?"

"Yeah..." Brooke's eyes widen when she realizes where your train of thought is going. "Holy shit!"

"Our exes are dating each other," you say, nodding slowly.

"Dude, we have to fuck with them somehow," Brooke says with a wicked grin. "The only question is how?"

You both stand there, thinking for a few moments. You look at Brooke, who begins pacing back and forth, making your body take long strides. Then you look up at the Victoria's Secret poster adorned with lingerie-clad hotties. Then back at Brooke. Lingerie. Brooke. Lingerie. Suddenly, an idea hits you like a freight train, and you cover your mouth to keep from bursting out laughing.

"What is it?" Brooke asks curiously. You manage to calm yourself just long enough to get your idea out, maintaining a huge grin on your face.

"Why don't you run home and grab the bracelets?"

The Magic Shop - Chapter XII

Chapter XII - Explanations and Dares

"Umm, it's kind of a long story..." You avoid eye contact with Brooke.

"Well," she looks at the clock. "We've got about 23 hours, guess you had better get started." You let out a sigh, twirling her phone in your hands.

"Okay. Some of this might be confusing at first but just bear with me," you say. You grab one of the shirts you gave Brooke to wear as pajamas off the floor and put it on.

"I'm listening," she says.

"So, just keep in mind that I used time travel to get here. I showed up right as you were undoing my belt," you say. You start rubbing your wrists where the handcuffs dug into them. "I only traveled back one day to get here. Probably about a day and an hour, give or take."

"So why are you in my body then? Shouldn't you be in yours?" She asks.

"Because once the 24 hours was up, we didn't switch back," you say with a slight tremble in your voice. She reaches into the dresser and puts on a pair of your boxers.

"I... You got pregnant?"

You nod slowly. "We were so horny that we both forgot to use a condom. Neither of us noticed until it... Your cum, started to leak out of me. That's why I made kind of a big deal out of you wearing one." Brooke nods understandingly. "Had I gone back to before we swapped bodies, I could have landed in your body anyway, and then there would be two of me, one in my body and one in yours. And God knows what would have happened to the real you..." Brooke just stands there, listening intently.

"So after we had sex that first time, I stayed up all night. I couldn't sleep, thinking I might be stuck in your body forever, since at that point we didn't know yet. The next morning we went back to the magic shop right when they opened. Mei, the shopkeeper - the one on the phone just now - had forgotten to mention the whole 'getting stuck forever if you get pregnant' bit when I bought the necklaces. She explained how souls are kind of like jell-o... You know, gelatinous. If they're removed from their original containers - their original bodies - they start to solidify after 36 hours. That's why there's a 24 hour limit on the necklaces, for safety. After 72 hours, they're not gelatinous any more, so they're stuck in the shape of their new container and can't be moved to another container again... Another body, that is."

"So you've been out of your body for over a day already?" She asks.

"Mhm... Probably about 26 hours now. As I've perceived it, anyway."

"So your soul starts to solidify in 10 hours? What happens then?" She asks.

"I don't know exactly what happens when it starts, Mei never told me actually. But she said on the phone as long as I'm me again before the 72 hours are up I'll be fine, as long as I don't use the necklace or bracelets for a week after I'm back in my body."

Brooke sits on the bed with you and puts a hand on your knee. "So what else happened?"

"That night, after we figured out we weren't swapping back, Mei came over with a whole bunch of stuff from the shop. But you were really adamant about wanting to keep the baby. I agreed to keep it because I didn't want to argue in front of Mei, and I thought we'd still have a shot at getting our lives back. I-"

"Hang on, you didn't want to keep the baby?" Brooke asked, sounding a bit shocked.

"If we could have gotten our lives back I wouldn't have minded. But I didn't want to be the one to give birth, you know? I was scared enough thinking I'd be in your body forever, but being a mommy too, I just... I'm not ready for that. I could be a dad, I think, maybe, but not a mom." You shake your head.

"I... I think I understand," she says, rubbing your knee gently. "But what about the stuff that she had, didn't you try any of that?"

"There were only like 4 things that could have helped us and let us keep the baby. 3 of them were way too dangerous though. One of them caused depression in its users, one was a remote that made you addicted to controlling peoples bodies and minds, and the other had a risk of putting your soul into the baby's body on accident instead of your own."

"What about the last thing?"

"It was a body suit that would let the wearer transform themselves, and transform others by touching them. If you wore it, then transformed me, we might not have had a baby any more. But if I wore it, then transformed you, we both might have been pregnant. That would have been fine, ya know, I think I could have lived with being you forever and even being a mom, if it meant you got your body back. But the wearer also ages at half the normal speed. Meaning I would have to live twice as long as you..." You could feel the tears welling up in your eyes as you lean your head on Brooke's shoulder. "I don't want to live a day without you... And half my life without you, I couldn't, I..." A tear rolls down your cheek. "We got in a really big fight about it. So after you fell asleep I went back to the shop, and Mei gave me this watch straight out of Clockstoppers... And here I am..."

Brooke takes the ponytail out of your hair and begins to stroke it gently. "It's okay now," she says.  "None of it happened."

"But it did happen..." You sniffle and wrap your arms around her. "Mei told me on the phone that I didn't really time travel but I moved to a parallel reality that was only a day behind. We don't know what happened to the me from this time, if he's in my timeline now or if he was just erased from this one, or if the two souls just kind of merged... Now I can't help but think I might have killed a different version of me... All because I was too fucking horny and forgot a fucking condom..." Another tear rolls down your cheek and your breath begins to tremble. Brooke puts her arms around you and holds you tight against her.

"Wait... If you're not even in the same reality, how does Mei know about all this? She even has my phone number?" Brooke asks.

"You gave it to her the morning that we went back to the shop. I'm not sure how she knows in this time... She's like 300 and some-odd years old and she's been practicing magic the whole time... I'm learning not to ask any more," you say with a short laugh. Brooke gives a little grin and kisses your head softly.

The two of you lie down on the bed, covering up in the blanket that smells like you. Brooke falls asleep relatively quickly, cuddling you from behind. You do your best to stay awake for a while, hoping not to have a repeat of the last time the two of you had sex. After almost an hour nothing happens, and you feel comfortable enough to fall asleep.

You wake up at 9:21 A.M. You stretch out your arms to find that Brooke isn't in the bed with you. Sitting up and rubbing your eyes, you find that the bedroom door is open. You roll out of your bed, stretching your arms and legs. You walk over to the dresser and put on a pair of Brooke's panties after realizing you fell asleep without them.

When you walk out into the hallway, you can smell fresh brewed coffee. Walking into the kitchen, you find Brooke leaning against the counter, waiting for the toaster to pop up. She's wearing a pair of your old gym shorts and a faded Metallica shirt.

"Good morning beautiful," Brooke says with a knowing smile.

"Good morning handsome," you smirk. You walk up to her and put your arms around her, resting your head against her chest.

"How are you feeling?" She asks, lightly rubbing your back.

"I'm still don't feel great about that whole other me thing," you say. "Otherwise I feel a lot better than I did this time yesterday. You know, today." You don't even have to look up at her to know that she smirked and rolled her eyes.

"You should be hitting your 36 hours any minute now, the way I figure it. I saved Mei's number so if anything bad happens when that starts we can call her," Brooke says.

"Aww, aren't you just the sweetest little thing," you say playfully as you look up at her.

"Says the little one," she says, poking you in the stomach. You let out a little yelp and scrunch up your face, pretending to be mad at her.

"Just for that you get to make my cup of coffee, butthead," you say as you stand on her feet.

"Fine, but it'll cost you," she sticks out her tongue. You stand on your tip toes as she leans down and you kiss each other passionately, causing a swirl of butterflies in your stomach. Looking into each other's eyes as you pull away, you don't think you could be any happier than you are right now. The toaster pops up.

"You gotta move if you want that coffee," she says.

You raise an eyebrow at her. "I don't think so babe. I'm obligated to fulfill any and all girlfriendly duties today, and number one on the list is bugging the ever-loving shit out of you," you say with a big toothy grin. Brooke exaggerates a sigh and an eye roll. Then you realize something.

"Hey, when did you learn to raise your eyebrow?" You ask.

"Umm, I don't know? Like ten years ago?"

"Huh. Weird. You couldn't do that before," you say, looking slightly perplexed.

"Must be one of those alternate timeline things, then," she shrugs. She walks awkwardly to the cupboard, with you still standing on her feet, and grabs your coffee mug. She looks down at you. "You're really not gonna move?"

"Nuh uh," you say, holding on to her even tighter.

Brooke pours the coffee into the mug, maneuvering awkwardly with you to get the cream and sugar, your face pressed into her chest. She fixes the coffee for you and exaggerates another sigh.

"It's ready, but you have to let go to get it," she says.

"Five more minutes," your voice is muffled by the shirt you've buried your face into. Brooke blows a raspberry at you.

"So what's the plan for today? Neither of us have work so it's pretty much whatever," she says. You respond with a shrug, refusing to remove your face from her chest.

"I didn't get that far last time," you say. "I had stayed up all night so I fell asleep after we got back from talking to Mei at the shop, and I didn't wake up until it was almost time to swap back." Brooke puts her hand on your forehead and pushes it back, making you look up at her.

"Am I always this annoying?" She asks. You respond by nodding really fast and smiling big at her. Brooke laughs, "Well then I must be doing something right."

You step off her feet and take your coffee mug with both hands, blowing into the cup. Brooke turns around and butters her toast. You go and sit at the computer, and Brooke follows soon after, sitting on the couch closest to you. You raise the computer chair all the way up, swinging your feet.

"You know, I never thought I'd enjoy being so short," you give her a sly smile and sip your coffee.

"Dude, being tall is awesome!" Brooke exclaims. You're surprised to hear her call you "dude." "I like not having to climb on the counters to reach stuff."

"I keep telling you babe, if you just wore those heels I like you wouldn't have that height issue," you say, taking another sip.

"And I keep telling you, you wouldn't be saying that if they were strapped to your feet all day," she says. "As a matter of fact, why don't you wear them today? Since they'll actually fit you now."

"That sounds like a challenge," you raise an eyebrow at her. Brooke gets up and walks over to you, leaning down and putting her hands on the chair's armrests.

"And what if it is?" You look up at her, giving her an 'I dare you to dare me' look.

"Then I accept your challenge," you say matter-of-factly. Brooke lets out a laugh.

"You're so going to regret that," she says. She turns and walks down the hallway, into the bedroom. A few seconds later she emerges, holding the shoes in her hand. The shoes have are glossy black with a 3.5" heel, a strap back and a peep toe, the heel being roughly half an inch wide. She sets them on your lap with a sinister grin.

"You haven't named your terms," you say, taking the shoes in your hands. Brooke looks at the clock and thinks for a moment.

"Alright. You have to wear them until 5:30 tonight, just about 8 hours," she says, sitting on the couch. "You can only take them off to change your clothes, since you're still not dressed yet. Other than that, they have to stay on. If you take them off before 5:30, you have to give me another blowjob with the tongue ring," she says.

"And if I win?" You ask. Brooke laughs at that.

"You won't," she says. "If, IF you win, we can do anything you want," she says.

"Done!" You say as you stand up, holding the shoes. "I'll go get changed right now."

"Have fun storming the castle!" She waves. You stick out your tongue and head back into the bedroom.

You close the door and toss the shoes on the bed. This will be too easy, you think to yourself. You strip down completely naked and start rummaging through Brooke's dresser. You find a black thong and matching bra, and toss them on the bed. You dig through her shirts and find a cute black low-cut top. It shows just a little midriff and will give a nice view of your cleavage. You might as well be a cock tease today, you think. You throw the shirt on the bed and look through the next drawer, deciding on a pair of denim booty shorts that you know are cut a little high and ride a little low.

You step over to the bed and put the thong on first. Next the bra, and you realize you've never had to put one on before. You've seen Brooke put it on a few different ways, so you decide to take the easy way. You wrap it around you so that the hooks are in the front, and hook the rings on the loosest set. Then you force the bra around, putting the cups in the front. You put your arms through the straps and pull it up over your boobs, adjusting the straps so they lay flat. The hardest part is over now, you think.

You throw the shirt on, amazed at how much of your chest you can see from this angle. Next you put the booty shorts on. You turn to inspect your ass in the mirror, smiling a little and feeling sufficiently slutty. Now, for the shoes. You sit on the bed and lift your right leg up, resting your ankle on your knee. You take the right shoe and open the back strap, then slip your foot in and tighten the strap over your heel as much as you can. You sit and admire it for a moment before setting your foot down. As your foot settles on the floor, that's when you realize this is going to be an interesting 8 hours. It feels like you're on your tip toes, unable to put your foot down. You lift your other foot and put that shoe on, and stand up.

Standing isn't so bad, you think. This can't be as hard as Brooke thinks it is - and then you try to walk towards the door. You nearly fall forward, barely able to keep your balance. Leaning up against the wall, you think, oh shit.

You open the door and slowly step into the hallway. Leaning against the right wall, you begin to make your way out into the living room. Brooke looks up from the couch, watching you attempt to walk down the hall. She covers her mouth, doing everything she can to keep from laughing. You glare at her, scrunching up your face.

"I got this," you say. You slowly tiptoe your way over to her and sit next to her on the couch.

"Babe," she says, stifling a laugh. "You look like a total slut."

"That was the whole point," you say, crossing your legs. "I might as well tease you while I can." You turn your body and bring your legs up, laying your legs across her lap as you lean back on the arm rest. You roll your ankles around, showing off your feet. Brooke stares at them for a moment, and you can feel her cock growing hard against your calf. Brooke tries to discretely push it down with her hand, but the fabric of the gym shorts only causes it to grow harder even faster.

"Hey no fair," Brooke says. "I like feet now?"

"Uh huh," you say, nodding your head quickly with a smile. You lift your feet up, letting the tent in her shorts grow to full capacity. Then, you turn your foot and gently rub the tip of her cock through the shorts with the top of your shoe. Brooke lays her head back on the couch.

"Ugh, I hate you," she says facetiously.

"I know," you say with a smirk. You sit up and bring your legs down, then scoot closer to Brooke. You bring one if your legs back up and straddle her, one knee on either side of her, her hard cock pressed directly into your crotch. You push out your breasts, grabbing her head and pushing it into your chest.

"I hate you so much," she says, her voice muffled by your boobs. You can feel her cock straining against you, begging for release already.

"Sucks, huh?" You say. You take Brooke's face in your hands, making her look up at you. As you bring her in for a kiss, you begin to move your hips back and forth, rubbing your pussy against her fully erect cock through your clothes.

Brooke moans softly, reaching down and firmly grabbing your ass with both hands. A shiver runs through your body as you feel your pussy beginning wetter. Wait, you think. If I really want to be a cock tease, now is the perfect time to stop. You muster all of your willpower and climb off her, sitting back down next to her. She looks at you, giving you a "what the hell" look.

"Girlfriendly duty number 2, being a big old cock tease," you wink at her. "Which really helps fulfill duty number 1, come to think of it."

"You totally suck, you know that?"

"I know, I was there last night," you joke. Brooke puts her hand on your shoulder and pushes you onto the couch, and you can't help but laugh.

"Hey, it's been over a day and a half for you now," she says. "Do you feel anything different? I mean, everything's okay?"

"Everything's just fine," you say, sitting back up and leaning your head on her arm. "I don't feel anything different."

"That's good," she says. You look down to see her hard on already going away. "Just let me know if anything changes, okay?"

"You'll be the first to know," you say.

"So, we have about 12 and a half hours to go," Brooke says. "You don't get to just lie around the house to get out of the challenge that easily, we have to go do something... So what do you want to do today?"
